I have always liked computer programming and computer graphics. I always saw myself being a game software creator since I enjoyed playing video games so much. It seemed like it was my passion in life so I figured I could go the route of designing the games that kids play.

I did not go that exact direction but it is pretty close. I took up a career in web design but more for designing web sites instead of video games. I actually own my own web design company here in my home town. I have a pretty good web presence and stay fairly busy all year round.

I specialize in building websites for Realtors, mortgage companies, and insurance agents. I think I do well because it is a very niche market and I do a very good job. What a lot of website design companies overlook is the optimization of a website. They will look good but will not show up in the search results anywhere.

My website design company does a great job at building professional websites that result in good conversion rates, but they are also optimized for specific keywords and will rank fairly well right out of the gate. A nice looking website does no good if people cannot find it.
