I was reading up on how to sell coins and make some good money at it. I have some old coin collections packed away, that were my grandfathers but I have never had them appraised or anything, and now I think it is time to sell them. I just recently got married and we are looking to buy our first house. I have a feeling that by selling coins to dealers that know their worth might be able to net me some big cash.

I looked up some of the bigger and older coins that are in the collection and a few of them are upwards towards a thousand dollars apiece. I have not told my new bride what I am planning on doing; I just want to handle the selling coins thing by myself and then show up with the money to surprise her. I am thinking of setting up a real estate agent to meet us the morning after my appointment with the local coin dealers and getting the ball rolling.

I wonder what my grandfather would think about me wanting to sell coins to buy a house. I hope that he would approve, and most likely he would. In today’s hard economic times, you just have to use whatever resources you have and make it work.
